Meet the Heart Behind Fruit of the Womb
Fruit of the Womb began in 2009 when my sister (Tamara) and I (Kate) started providing placenta encapsulation services for families throughout the Denver area. What began as a small passion project quickly grew through word of mouth, and over the past 15+ years we've had the privilege of serving thousands of families during one of the most transformative times in their lives.
Like many family businesses, our involvement has ebbed and flowed with the different seasons of our lives. At times I stepped back while pursuing other passions and growing my photography business. At other times, my sister stepped away to focus on her own family and career. Through it all, Fruit of the Womb continued to serve Denver families, growing primarily through referrals from clients who trusted us with their postpartum care.
More about me…I currently live in Arvada with my wife Taylor, our cats, our dog Pepper, and a flock of 10 chickens that keep life interesting. When I'm not encapsulating placentas, I'm photographing weddings, growing families, and all of life's meaningful milestones.
In the summer, you'll usually find us tending our garden, spending time outdoors, or visiting the dog park with our family. In the winter, we're happiest curled up with a good book, planning our next adventure, or trying a new local restaurant.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work has been witnessing the incredible strength of the families we serve. Over the years, we have worked with first-time parents, growing families, surrogates, adoptive families, LGBTQ+ families, and parents from all walks of life. It's an honor to play a small role in such a meaningful chapter and to support families as they begin their journey into the fourth trimester.
Thank you for trusting Fruit of the Womb with a part of your birth story. It is a responsibility we never take lightly.
